Down the TBR Hole #3 || (21-32)

Hello Bibliophiles!

Previously on Down the TBR Hole…

This tag was created by Lost in a Story – basically it helps you go through your TBR, and also gives you blog post ideas! I enjoyed reading it on Jess’s blog, so I figured I’d give it a go.

So as I go through I’ll talk about the books, why I added them to my GoodReads TBR, and decide whether to keep them or remove them.

That’s basically what it is! You don’t need to read part one, but if you want to, you can find it here.

Time for part three!

Defy the Stars – Claudia Gray

Defy the Stars (Constellation, #1)

This is a sci-fi story with artificial intelligence, but very human like AI. Kind of like Iko from The Lunar Chronicles, but more Star Wars-like. I’m getting rid of this one, because I’m not a big sci-fi fan, and I haven’t heard too much about this.

Verdict: Remove

Blood Rose Rebellion – Rosalyn Eves

Blood Rose Rebellion (Blood Rose Rebellion, #1)

Hmm…It sounds interesting, but also like a typical dystopian. I think I’ll keep it, for now, but I’m not sure when I’ll get to it,

Verdict: Keep

Nemesis – Brendan Reichs

Nemesis (Project Nemesis, #1)

I have no idea what this is about, solely because I was told not to read the synopsis before starting it. I have this book on my shelf, so I’ll get to it eventually. It seems interesting, but I’m pretty sure it’s sci-fi\dystopian. Could be wrong though.

Verdict: Keep

Replica – Lauren Oliver

Replica (Replica, #1)

Sounded interesting, it’s two books in one…but it’s not something I’ll get to anytime soon.

Verdict: Remove

Air Awakens – Elise Kova

Air Awakens (Air Awakens, #1)

I’ve heard about this book from a bunch of different people, and they all say that it’s good, so I’ll keep it. For now.

Verdict: Keep

Riders – Veronica Rossi

Riders (Riders, #1)

Judging by the synopsis, most of the exciting action happened in the past, and now it’s mostly about the government. I’m not sure how I feel about that…

I think I’ll keep it, for now.

Verdict: Keep

Song of the Current – Sarah Tolcser

Song of the Current (Song of the Current #1)

The synopsis seems okay, but I’ve heard that it isn’t accurate – apparently it has pirates and plenty of misadventures. Just my type of thing!

Verdict: Keep

Mask of Shadows – Linsey Miller

Mask of Shadows (Mask of Shadows #1)

I wasn’t sure about this one, but then I remembered it had a gender-fluid main character and assassins, so I think I’ll give it a shot. Plus the cover is really cool.

Verdict: Keep

Beast: A Tale of Love and Revenge – Lisa Jensen

Beast: A Tale of Love and Revenge

I’m honestly never going to get to reading this one.

Verdict: Remove

Daughter of the Siren Queen – Tricia Levenseller

Daughter of the Siren Queen (Daughter of the Pirate King, #2)

I enjoyed the first book, and I’m looking forward to the sequel. Although I prefer pirate movies to pirate books.

Verdict: Keep

The Adoration of Jenna Fox – Mary E. Pearson

The Adoration of Jenna Fox (Jenna Fox Chronicles, #1)

I just recently unhauled this book from my shelves, so I’m not keeping it. I love Mary E. Pearson’s fantasy work, but I’m not going to ever get to her dystopian.

Verdict: Remove

Total books on my TBR: 169

…I added some books to my TBR, so I now have more books than last time…well, that’s the way the pages turn, I guess.

Are any of these books on your TBR? Opinions on keep vs. remove?
