I recently wrote a post with LGBTQ recs, but I intentionally didn’t include some favorite books, just so the post wouldn’t be too long.
Disclaimer: All of these books have LGBTQ+ main characters. It’s always nice when a side character, or a character who doesn’t get a POV chapter, is apart of the community, but it means so much more when the main characters are the ones who make you feel represented.

Title: For Darkness Shows the Stars
Author: Diana Peterfreund
Publisher: Balzer + Bray
It’s been several generations since a genetic experiment gone wrong caused the Reduction, decimating humanity and giving rise to a Luddite nobility who outlawed most technology.
Elliot North has always known her place in this world. Four years ago Elliot refused to run away with her childhood sweetheart, the servant Kai, choosing duty to her family’s estate over love. Since then the world has changed: a new class of Post-Reductionists is jumpstarting the wheel of progress, and Elliot’s estate is foundering, forcing her to rent land to the mysterious Cloud Fleet, a group of shipbuilders that includes renowned explorer Captain Malakai Wentforth–an almost unrecognizable Kai. And while Elliot wonders if this could be their second chance, Kai seems determined to show Elliot exactly what she gave up when she let him go.
But Elliot soon discovers her old friend carries a secret–one that could change their society . . . or bring it to its knees. And again, she’s faced with a choice: cling to what she’s been raised to believe, or cast her lot with the only boy she’s ever loved, even if she’s lost him forever.

I rarely buy candles. The shipping prices always make me hesitant, and I’d prefer to spend the money on books.
However, I love Alex’s candles, and I got a bit of a discount from entering his rep search, so I took advantage of the opportunity
aka im cheap and i love discounts and got a few Last Airbender candles!
I won’t say I have an excellent memory. I often forget what was literally just said to me in person, but I’m pretty good when it comes to books. I spend
too much a lot of my time around books.
You must answer these questions without looking anything up on the internet and without looking at your bookshelves!
I love the Umbrella Academy! It’s my most recent obsession.
And I’ve seen a lot of people in the bookish community talking about it. And thus, this book tag was born.
I love RIP it or SHIP it videos!
The idea of mixing characters is just so fun! Crossovers are my absolute favorite
only reason I still watch CW shows tbh
And then the other day (*ahem* more than a month ago) I saw this thing on Instagram where people were submit couples for a blog post!
So guess what we’re doing today 😏
Also like, if you’re one of the people who submitted these names…sorry? I’m a horrible procrastinator
I asked you guys what I should write…then discarded all the options and chose to do a book tag instead.
Plus I miss My Lady Jane (I should reread it soon) and I’m excited for My Calamity Jane this year!
I swear I’ll write those other posts too…eventually.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and my family doesn’t do much to celebrate.
We already have a few Christmas\winter decorations going up, and we have the Grandparents coming for a meal, but we try to keep it casual.
Technically, “characters I’d want at friendsgiving” is the Top 5 Wednesday theme for today, but the word “friendsgiving” annoys me 😂*. So let’s skip to the holidays.
*Plus I know that Thanksgiving isn’t something that everyone celebrates, but most of us have a holiday coming up, so this is applicable to everyone

I love fall. Thankfully, here in Illinois we still have fall weather. So why not prolong the inevitable and do a fall book tag!
I saw this on Secret Library Book Blog, and it was pretty short, so why not?
